Matthew's Miles - 8th Annual Walkathon
Matthew's Miles Mission StatementTo raise brain tumor awareness in the general public and to raise money for pediatric brain tumor research in hope of finding a cure for this devastating illness.
NewsApril 15, 2011: We had hoped to have our walkathon this year in May, during National Brain Tumor Awareness Month, but Logan Township (NJ) has yet to get back to us about using the recreational park again as our base of operation. Because of this delay, May is extremely unlikely. Stay tuned... April 15, 2011: We received an anonymous corporate grant for Matthew's Miles to benefit the ABTA in the amount of $5,500. This raises our total for 2011 over $6,000! For all seven plus years, we've now raised over $126,000 for pediatric brain tumor research and awareness. November 2, 2010: Delsea Regional High School had their satellite walk for the upcoming 8th Annual Matthew's Miles in October 2010. They raised a total of $556. We'll add that total to our 8th Annual Matthew's Miles star when we reset our counts for 2011. May 17, 2010: Today we passed $11,000 raised for 2010. And that means that for all seven years of our event, we're over $120,000! Thanks everyone! Help Us Reach for The STAR!Our goal this year is $10,000. In the coming days, please come back and check the progress of our star below. We want to fill our star with star light!
