\"ThumbnailOn Tuesday, May 16, I was on the Preston & Steve Morning show on 93.3 FM, WMMR (wmmr.com), but my group (Will Horner, the editor and David Seidman, the illustrator of Modern Magic, along with fellow MM author Christe M. Callabro, and photographer Celeste Giuliano) didn’t actually get on the air until about 10:40. The show ran long, but we did get on. You can listen to the P&S podcast by going to the WMMR site, clicking on the P&S link, then on the podcast button. Select the podcast for 5\/16.<\/p>\n

I arrived at the station’s parking lot around 8am. Went up to the studio waiting room area at 8:30, then waited around for a while. We were called into the studio around 9:45 or so, but had to wait for various scheduled bits to end, then Pierre Robert came in and went off on a marvelous rant against Axl Rose. He fired up the callers and away we went…<\/p>\n

Anyway, we talked briefly about the genesis of the story idea for “Undead Air” my zombie-slaying short story featuring Preston and Steves as themselves, but armed to the teeth and kicking zombie butt. Afterward, Preston, Steve, and illustrator David Seidman signed my print of Zombie Riot, the artwork that inspired the story.<\/p>\n

Will has scheduled two events so far for Modern Magic, one is a signing at the Borders Express in Echelon Mall, Voorhees NJ on Saturday, May 20 from 2 to 5pm. And later that day (7pm to 9pm) a launch party at Kildare’s tavern in Manayunk, PA.<\/p>\n

I will be speaking to the Garden State Horror Writers<\/a> on 5\/20, so I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop by the Echelon Mall signing. If I get back at a decent hour, I’ll try to swing by for a bit. Also, we’re having a family party for my son’s birthday on that day as well, so I may or may not be able to swing by Kildare’s. Looks to be a very busy day, regardless. I’m hoping to be at other signings for Modern Magic…but do keep in mind, I will be having my own launch party for KINDRED SPIRIT<\/a> at Between Books on Philadelphia Pike in Claymont, DE on June 10 from 1PM to 3PM and the store should have copies of Modern Magic there as well.
